Dr Vakhtang Shoshiashvili is specialized in anesthesiology and intensive care and has a quite a few experiences of regional anesthesia and pain management. At 1992 he published PhD thesis on the theme “Perioperative immune regulation in Cancer Patients” and is also contributed in treatment of cancer pain conditions. Since 2013 he is an expert in anesthesia and intensive care at TSMU and Ministry of Health Care and Social Affairs Republic of Georgia.
Currently he is also an assistant professor at TSMU, faculty of medicine, department of anesthesiology and intensive care. Since 2020 he is working as an anesthesiologist at TSMU First University Clinic Tbilisi, Georgia. He is an author of 43 publications including 4 monograph, research and review articles, case reports. He was organizing committee member and keynote speaker in international congresses in field of anesthesia and surgery.
His research interests including anesthesia and immunity, regional anesthesia and interventional pain management, influence of anesthesia type on outcome of surgery, intensive care.
