Dr. Dipan Adhikari, have been an Associate Professor of Botany (Specialization in Cell and Molecular Biology  and Plant Biotechnology) presently serving this post at P G Dept of Botany, Hooghly Mohsin College, Chinsurah, Hooghly, India-712101 and have successfully completed more than 8 years of teaching (both undergraduate and Post Graduate). I have published 50 research papers in different peer reviewed journals of national and international repute and activity engaged in biological research. I have acquired expertise in the field of assaying genotoxicity in plant and animal cell models. I am pursuing an active research career conducting student’s projects (at PG level in the special paper Plant Cytogenetics and Molecular Biology) and attending and rendering oral presentations in different national and international seminars. I have been registered for Ph.D. guideship in the Dept of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata-700032.

With more than 15 years of teaching experience both at UG and PG levels I am extremely delighted and blessed after choosing and pursuing myself in this noble and extremely respected profession. In addition to the classical method of "Chalk and Talk" in classroom I would like to upgrade myself and my students with modern day teaching kits like PPT, slide shows, ebooks and ematerials available through internet. Biological Science is a discipline which encompasses the finer nuances of living world happening around us in silent process. I feel to incorporate my students to actively participate in nature camps and nature study sessions to enrich their knowledge base in addition to curriculum based studies.

I am looking ahead for a challenging and growth oriented career in research and development, which would give me an opportunity to make the best use of my abilities and knowledge to my utmost capability and adaptability to work individually as well as in a team. Hard work, persistence, dedication and analytical abilities are my assets.
I have successfully completed UGC Minor Research Project titled "Cytological Studies of Wild Agaricales of Dooars (Terai Region) of West Bengal.

I am looking for a challenging and growth oriented platform in research to contribute my acumen in the world of biological research which would give me an opportunity to make the best use of my abilities and knowledge to my utmost capability and adaptability to work individually as well as in a team. The area of Gentoxicity and contamination toxicology really fascinates me. I would really like to devote myself in this area with a zeal and goal to pursue research activities related to establishment of low cost and easy assay techniques to elucidate the pathophysiological manifestations of xenobiotic exposure both in animal systems related to aquatic and terrestrial environments for greater understanding of the risk management of pollution with special reference to the ever-expanding research in Human Physiology . I am looking forward for a collaborative research grant from abroad to pamper my dreams and achieve my career goals.  I take active interests in performing arts like singing, dramatics, recitation and debating.
